Biography
He graduated from the Polish gymnasium in Warsaw , where he lived until the outbreak of World War II . After the German invasion of Poland , he fled to his native Brest , then lived in Vitebsk , where he studied at a pedagogical institute. He was evacuated to Tashkent , where he studied at the Institute of Foreign Languages. In 1946 he returned to Poland . He worked in the archives of the Jewish Historical Institute . Subsequently, he moved to Paris , continued his literary studies at the Sorbonne , and at the same time served as secretary in the Kiem magazine in Paris .
He began his literary work in the Paris newspaper Unser steime, whose employee he remained for many years. Published in other periodicals: in Yiddish - Unzer Worth, Arbeter Worth ( Paris ), Los Un Lebn ( London ), Letste Nayes ( Tel Aviv ) and French.
