University of Regina

Regina University or Regina University ( English The University of Regina, acronym: UofR The University of Regina, acronym: UofR) is a research and development university located in the center of Regina , Canada .

Founded in 1911 under the name "Regina College" under the patronage of the Methodist Church of Canada ( Eng. Methodist Church of Canada). Regina College back in 1925 established contacts with the University of Saskatchewan , and in 1934 it became part of the University of Saskatchewan .

Since 1974 - independent from the University of Saskatchewan . At the moment there are more than 12,000 students and researchers.
