Biography
A native of Stoke-on-Trent , Elijah began his professional career at the Barnsley Club in the season 1904-05. Spent 46 official matches for the club. In 1908 he moved to Oldham Athletic , for which he spent 10 matches.
In May 1909 he became a player of Manchester United [2] . He made his debut for the club on October 9, 1909 in an away match of the First Division against Liverpool , conceding 3 goals into his goal [3] . On February 26, he played against Aston Villa , conceding seven goals to his goal [4] . In June 1919, he left United, having spent only 2 matches for the club [5] .
Later he played for Worksop Town and Mexboro [1] .
