History
The historic predecessor of the brigade is the 84th Guards Mortar Regiment, which took part in the Great Patriotic War. The 79th Guards Jet Artillery Brigade inherits its military glory, banner , awards, and honorary title. [1] [2] During the Second World War, in service with the 84th Guards. minp were 132-mm MLRS BM-13 . The regiment took part in the Uranus offensive in the Battle of Stalingrad , which became a turning point in the entire war. [3]

The 11th jet mortar brigade was originally part of the 115th artillery division, after the disbandment of which, the 11th reamer was reorganized into the 181st Guards Missile Brigade and transferred to the 5th Guards Tank Army BelVO . Subsequently, the 181st RBR was reassigned to the 1st Guards Tank Army in the GSVG , being in the GDR until the end of the Cold War. After redeployment to Russia, it was reorganized into the 3rd Guards Jet Brigade and disbanded. Description
The 79th Guards Jet Artillery Brigade is a unit of direct subordination to the district command. The brigade’s exercises are held at the Luzhsky [5] and Kapustin Yar [3] training grounds . To assess the effectiveness of target destruction and to adjust artillery fire during combat firing, domestic-made unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with digital visualization and data transmission tools are used. Composition
Management, three divisions MLRS 9K58 , each division consists of two batteries, MLRS battery includes two mobile 12-barrel combat vehicles 9A54 and one transport-loading vehicle 9T255. In addition, a battery of maintenance and repair, a control battery, a company of material support, a company of technical support, an engineer-sapper platoon. Total crew: 12 units. BM 9A54 and 6 units.
