Puerto Rico is a German-style board game developed by Andreas Seyfart and published in 2002. Players try on the roles of administrators of a colony on the island of Puerto Rico, presumably during the Conquista era. The goal of the game is to accumulate victory points thanks to the shipment of goods or the construction of buildings. 2-5 players can play in Puerto Rico. There are official additions - "New Buildings" and "Nobles", which include additional buildings and a new type of colonialists, respectively - nobles who bring victory points simply by the fact of their presence on your tablet.

Game Balance Improvements
The following changes may be applied to the official rules to balance the game:
- The prices of the “Factory” and “University” buildings can be swapped so that the “Factory” costs 8 doubloons, and the “University” - 7 doubloons. The creator of the game Andreas Seyfart said that he would change their value if he developed the game today.
- Players starting with a corn plantation can be given 1 doubloon less than players starting with an indigo plantation.
