Alan Patric Silva Alvis (Brazilian port. Alan Patrick Silva Alves ; born July 9, 1983 , Manaus ) is a Brazilian mixed-style fighter , lightweight. He has been performing professionally since 2008, he is known for participating in tournaments of the UFC fighting organization. He owned the Bitetti Combat lightweight champion title. Black belt for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu .

Biography
Alan Patrick was born on July 9, 1983 in Manaus , Amazonas . For many years, he mastered the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , was awarded the black belt in this discipline [1] .
Beginning of a professional career
He made his debut in mixed martial arts on a professional level in April 2008, defeated his rival by technical knockout. He fought in various small Brazilian promotions such as HTJ, Vision Fight and Mr. Cage - in all cases invariably left the fights as a winner. In 2013, he also won in fairly large organizations Jungle Fight and Bitetti Combat, and in the latter he won the lightweight champion title [2] .
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Having ten victories and not a single defeat in his track record, Alan Patrick attracted the attention of the largest fighting organization in the world Ultimate Fighting Championship and signed a long-term contract with it. He made his first appearance in the UFC octagon in October 2013, winning by technical knockout against Gareth Whiteley [3] .
In February 2014, he first went out to fight outside Brazil, at a tournament in the USA he met with Canadian John McDessey - their confrontation lasted all the allotted time, and the judges unanimously gave the victory to Alan Patrick. The decision was controversial, many reputable media called McDessie the winner or insisted on a draw [4] .
His next rival was to be the representative of Iran, Beneil Dariyush , but the Brazilian was injured in his jaw and was forced to abandon this fight, as a result he was replaced by another fighter. Having recovered from an injury, in June 2015 he returned to duty, having met with Russian Mayrbek Taysumov and losing by technical knockout in the second round - this defeat was the first in his professional career [5] .
In 2016, he fought twice in the UFC cage, winning by unanimous decision against both of his rivals: Australian Damien Brown and Scotsman Stevie Ray [6] .
In February 2018, he was opposed by the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina Damir Hadzovic , Alan Patrick won again by unanimous decision [7] .
