The Art Institute of the Iranian Academy of Arts ( Pers. پژوهشکده هنر ) was established in 2004 (based on the license of the Council for the Promotion of Higher Education under the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in accordance with the tasks, duties and structure of this ministry) to satisfy a certain part of research requests countries in the field of art. The purpose of the Institute is the development and dissemination of scientific research in the field of art, as well as the creation of the necessary channel for the improvement of relevant research activities.
Content
Responsibilities and Prerogatives
1. Identification and study of research requests in new areas of art that are taking place in society, and drawing up a program for updating the scientific potential of research centers working in this field.
2. Implementation of fundamental and applied research projects and developments in order to implement the objectives of the Institute.
3. Scientific cooperation with national and foreign universities and research institutions in order to improve the quality of research activities in new areas of Islamic and national art, subject to the relevant laws and regulations.
4. Providing consulting services to individuals and legal entities based on the results of the research work of the Institute.
5. Publication of journals, scientific monographs, textbooks, production of computer programs, consistent with the objectives of the Institute, in accordance with certain criteria and rules.
6. Conducting scientific conferences and the presentation of scientific achievements in the framework of training seminars in compliance with the rules of the Institute [1] .
Art Institute Manual
1. Board of Trustees, which includes: a) President of the Academy of Arts (chairman); b) the Minister of Science, Research and Technology or his representative; c) the chairman of the Organization of Management and Planning of the Islamic Republic of Iran or his representative; d) Director of the Institute (secretary); e) 3-5 cultural researchers who play a prominent role in the development of the Institute.
2. A director elected from among the scientists on the proposal of the President of the Academy of Arts and approved by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, as well as by the order of the President of the Academy of Arts for a period of 4 years.
3. Research Council, consisting of the Director of the Institute (chairman), Deputy Director for Science of the Institute (secretary), heads of research groups and 2-5 researchers.
