Biography
Born on February 4, 1901 in the city of Vilna, later the family moved to the city of Oryol .
Since 1916 he participated in the revolutionary movement in Orel as part of a group of socialist youth. Here he graduated from high school in 1918. At the end of the same year, the family returned to Vilna, where Henry again participated in political activities and the Civil War, joining the CPSU (B) / CPSU in 1920. After the liberation of Vilno by the Red Army, he was sent by the party to Minsk , where from September 1920 to September 1923 he held various posts in Soviet and Komsomol structures, worked in army organizations and in the Central Party School of Belarus.
Then Kozlov was sent to study in Moscow, where until 1926 he was a student of the Institute of Red Professors (IKP). Simultaneously with his studies, in 1924-1925 he taught political economics at the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy , and in 1926 - at the pedagogical faculty at the 2nd Moscow State University . After graduating from IKP Kozlov was engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities; from 1926 to 1928 he was a professor at the Institute of Marxism-Leninism in Kharkov .
Returning to Moscow in 1928, he worked in the USSR State Planning Commission in 1929 and at the same time in 1930 headed the Department of Political Economy of the Communist University of the East Workers named after I.V. Stalin . In 1930, for some time he was deputy head of the economic department of the editorial office of the newspaper Pravda , after which until 1937 he was professor and head of the political economy department of the IKP (from September 1930 to 1931 he was the head of the educational department of the institute). [1] At the same time in 1931-1934 he was a member of the board of the State Bank of the USSR and as a professor he taught the course of "political economy" at the Moscow Credit and Economic Institute of the State Bank of the USSR.
In 1938-1941, Henry Abramovich - professor and head of the department of the Institute of National Economy named after Plekhanov (now G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics ). November 29, 1939 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences and he was approved in the academic rank of professor in the department of political economy. From 1941 to 1946 he was deputy head of the department, and from 1946 to 1978 he headed the department of political economy of the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU . At the same time, in 1943-1946 he headed the Department of Political Economics at the Moscow Financial and Economic Institute, until September 1947 - at the Moscow Financial Institute (now Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation ). November 26, 1968 G.A. Kozlov was elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences for the Department of Economics. In 1956-1981 he was a member of the editorial boards of the journal "Economic Issues" and the encyclopedia "Political Economy"; in 1971-1981 he was a member of the scientific council of the USSR Academy of Sciences on the problem "Economic laws of the development of socialism and its development into communism."
He died on September 24, 1981 in Moscow.
