Elena Kordyukova (born February 17, 1979 ) is a resident of Asbest, who was convicted of the murder of her two children. Her case caused a mixed reaction in society.

Biography
Elena Kordyukova was accused of having poisoned her three children for a short time, and earlier she had killed her own mother in the same way. All the children of Kordyukova were born with genetic abnormalities, and according to the investigation, Kordyukova killed her children so as not to mess with them [1] .
The investigation into the attitude of Elena Kordyukova caused a great resonance [2] . Starting in 2015, the Kordyukova case has been the subject of many publications and television reports. Already at the stage of the preliminary investigation, many friends of Kordyukova openly expressed doubts about her guilt [3] (although the fact that the family was dysfunctional was not denied [4] ). Kordyukova was charged with the murder of her two children (charges of killing a third child and mother were not brought due to lack of evidence). In December 2017, Elena Kordyukova was sentenced to 18.5 years in prison [7] (the prosecutor requested 20 years [8] ).
