Biography
Pupil of the club " Al-Merreich " from Omdurman. Since 1966, he played for another club from his hometown - Al-Khilal , in its composition he became the three-time champion of Sudan (1967, 1970, 1973) and the four-time winner of the Khartoum League (1967, 1969, 1971, 1973). During his club career, he scored more than 350 goals in all tournaments. At the club level, he also played for the Saudi An-Nasr (Riyadh) and the Ivorian Stud Abidjan .
Since 1967, he played for the Sudan national team . In 1970, with his team, he won the African Cup of Nations , scored one goal in the tournament, in the group stage against Ethiopia's goal. In 1976, he also participated in the African Cup of Nations , scored three goals, but his team did not leave the group.
After completing his playing career, he worked as vice president of Al-Hilal. He also made a diplomatic career, worked as the head of the protocol of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs [1] , had the rank of ambassador.
He received his nickname in honor of Yuri Gagarin .
