Film Festival "Film Festival" - is the All-Russian Children's Film Festival, since 2009, held annually in St. Petersburg . The festival presents films created by children, with the participation of children and for children. Film festival participants send their work from all over the Russian Federation . In the out-of-competition program films of children's film studios from CIS countries and abroad are shown.

The main target group is children aged 7 to 10 years old, teenagers aged 11 to 13 years old, and young people aged 14 to 18 years old. The professional jury of the film festival is headed by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, film director, writer, artistic director of the Central Russian Film Studio of Documentary Films (RCSDF) Vladimir Alenikov .



The general director of the film festival is Anna Savchuk , producer, screenwriter, member of the Russian Union of Journalists, member of the Russian Union of Cinematographers, and head of the Russian Bureau of the International Center for Children's Diplomacy.

The general producer of the film festival is Yevgeny Savchuk , theater and film actor, director, director of the Two Capitals Production Center.

Under the brand "Kinoostrov" there are also Russian children's film academy "Kinoostrov" and the eponymous children's casting agency.

Since 2017, the KinoOstrov is a member of the ECFA (European Children`s Film Association) - the European Association of Children's Cinema.

The organizers of the film festival “Kinoostrov” are the autonomous non-profit organization for the implementation of innovative projects for the development of art and culture “Rostis Art” and the producer center “Two Capitals” with the support of the Committee on Culture of the Government of St. Petersburg .

Board of Trustees

The board of trustees of Kinostrov includes cultural and artistic figures: President of the Etalon Group of Companies, a writer, screenwriter, philanthropist Vyacheslav Zarenkov ; Honored Artist of Russia, theater and film actress Anastasia Melnikova , deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Nadezhda Tikhonova , Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Shevchenkov , actor Dmitry Barkov , stuntman, trade union of stuntmen and workers of the stunt genre Alexander Uvarov, head of the make-up shop at the studio of Lenfilm art artist plastic makeup and special effects Ksenia Malkina, director of Lennauchfilm branch of CNF OJSC Anton Smirnov.

Competition Program

All works submitted to the contest program of the festival are differentiated, within one of the categories:
  1. Category A (lovers) Films made in school or at home. The authors of this category, both adults and children are not professionals. Films of school or other children's studios, in which the leaders of groups are also not professionals in the field of cinema, also belong to this category.
  2. Category B (children's studios) Films made by the authors in the context of specialized film and video associations, clubs or studios. This category includes films made by young authors under the guidance or with the help of film professionals.
  3. Category C (Professionals) Films of adult authors - professionals, students and graduates of film schools or film associations, television workers. The authors of this category are professionals in the field of cinema.
  4. Category D (Debut) Films taken as part of the film educational program of the Kinoostrov festival

The KinoOstrov Festival at the Film Campus

Within the framework of the film festival, there is a summer camp “Kinoostrov”, where participants take a course in the basics of cinema and create their own version of a short film on a given topic. There is a creation of new works of collective children's and youth creativity. There are no usual squads in the camp, the guys are divided into film studios according to age criteria. In each studio no more than 20 people. The basis of the teaching staff are teachers of the KinoOstrov Children's Film Academy. Every year at least 5,000 people take part in the film festival in various forms. About one hundred children take part in the film camp in person, from one and a half to three thousand people join the correspondence formats, more than six hundred people attend the ceremonies and the competition program.
