“On the bank of the nameless river” is the ninth song of the album “ Alien Land ” of the Soviet and then Russian rock band “ Nautilus Pompilius ”. There is a video for the composition, shot in 1991 by director Anatoly Bersenyev. Like all studio album material, this song is made in the direction of gothic rock [1] .

Creation History
The leader of the group Vyacheslav Butusov brought at one of the rehearsals sketches of this composition and played them with a guitar. Guitarist Egor Belkin immediately composed a solo and in a couple of hours the song was ready [2] .
Theme
The author did not say the name of the river, which is mentioned in the song, because no one can imagine Iset . Butusov himself admitted that he composed the composition about this river [3] .
Opinions
After ten, Vyacheslav Butusov realized how famous songs were obtained. In his opinion, each person has his own knowledge, which he can transfer genetically. “If the music matches this baggage, a person will accept it as something native. Therefore, different countries have different hits, ”answered Vyacheslav Butusov [4] .
