Biography
Born in 1906 in the city of Perekop. Father Jacob Pilsky died in 1919 in battles with the White Guards during the Civil War.
He began his career as a registrar in a county commission for engaging in labor service, then as a mechanic's assistant and a chauffeur. In 1927 he entered the Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology. D. I. Mendeleev and graduated in 1931 with a pyrogenic specialty. Upon graduation, enrolled in graduate school.
In 1937 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. In the same year, he was appointed head of the department of equipment for pyrogenic productions at the Moscow Institute of Chemical Industry.
December 30, 1937 was appointed director of the Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology D.I. Mendeleev . In the fall of 1941, he organizedly evacuated the institute to the city of Kokand , the Uzbek SSR .
In 1943, after the institute returned from evacuation, he was appointed director of the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering . He worked in this position until December 31, 1948.
