Maryan Davidovich Belenky (born June 29, 1950 , Kiev ) is a Ukrainian, Russian and Israeli writer, translator, journalist, conversational artist, radio host, screenwriter.

Biography
Since 1991, lives in Jerusalem . Copywriter and referent for relations with the Russian-language media of the Yiddishpil State Theater ( Tel Aviv ) [1] .
In 2011-2013, he worked as a columnist in the Moscow newspaper Vzglyad [2] [3] . He led the author's program on the Russian radio Chicago "People's Wave" [3] .
Creativity
Author of several books (in Russian and Hebrew) and hundreds of monologues and sketches (in Russian and Hebrew) [4] . It is published in the Russian-language press of the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, in the Jewish press of Russia and Ukraine, in literary magazines. His works in translations are published in many countries (Hungary, Bulgaria, Egypt, Taiwan) [4] .
He translated into Russian from Hebrew books and plays by a classic of Israeli humor, winner of the Israeli State Prize Efraim Kishon , classic of Israeli dramaturgy Hanoch Levin [3] [4] [5] .
Performs on stage with his works [4] in the genre of stand-up comedy [3] [6] .
Creator of the image of "Aunt Sonya" (1989) for Clara Novikova [4] [7] . Sketches and monologues of Marian Belenky were performed by Arkady Raikin [8] , Gennady Khazanov [9] , Lyubov Polishchuk [10] [11] , Yan Arlazorov [12] , Ilya Oleinikov (Klyaver), Oleg Akulich , and others.

Thus, Marjan Belenky became one of the few authors who won a monument to his character during his lifetime.
The author of circus numbers (reprise), which are performed in circuses of Ukraine, Russia, China (Hong Kong, Shanghai); they were performed by Yuri Nikulin and Mikhail Shuydin [3] .

The path of knowledge of the world through comicism is characteristic of Marian’s work. There are no taboos; everything that is worth it is subject to ridicule. ... And at the same time, there is no hatred in ridicule. Heroes of Belenky are cute, life is just so oddly arranged. Actually, all Marian’s work is about loneliness.
