Story
Lorraine , 1912 The caster Horthy is married to the beautiful Zoe, who is lusted by the owner of the foundry Simeon. Winning a corporate sporting event, Horthy receives a prize from Simeon - a ticket to Southampton to see the Titanic set off on its first flight.
On the eve of the departure of the ship, Horthy meets a beautiful young woman named Marie, who appears to be the maid of the Titanic. Local hotels are crowded and Horthy invites her to spend the night with him. Despite the fact that Marie and Horthy fall asleep separately, in the middle of the night a woman tries to seduce him. Whether she succeeds or not is unclear. Waking up, Horthy discovers that Marie is gone. Visiting the Titanic, he sees a man photographing his new acquaintance, and asks for her picture as a keepsake.
Returning home, Horthy discovers that he was promoted, but this news is overshadowed by rumors of a romance between his wife and Simeon. Horthy gets drunk at a local bar and brags to friends about a passionate night spent with a beautiful maid. Upon learning that the "Titanic" crashed, he, not afraid of exposure, invents ever greater fables.
Horthy attracts the attention of a traveling actor named Zeppe, who offers the dreamer to work for the public, making the whole play out of the tales. One day, Zoe visits a show and Horthy gives her story as a work of art. Time after time, Horthy’s story becomes more complex and romantic, attracting a wider audience. In the end, Zoe demands participation in the play, playing the role of Marie, desperately fighting for life after the collapse of the Titanic.
