Ayse-Khatun ( tur. Ayşe Hatun ) - daughter of the Crimean Khan Mengli I Gerai ; the wife is successively to sehzade Mehmed, son of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II , and Sultan Selim I.

Biography

Ayse was the daughter of the Crimean Khan Mengli I Geraia [1] [2] . Until 1504 [1] / 1505 or until March 1507, [3] Aishe was married to the sehzade Mehmed, the son of Ottoman Sultan Bayazid II , from whom she gave birth to a son Alemshah and daughter Fatma (died 1556) [4] . Shehzade Mehmed died in 1504/1505, or was executed in 1507 [3] [2] .

In 1511, Aishe became the wife of the future Sultan Selim I [5] [1] ; the marriage was concluded without the consent of Sultan Bayazid II [6] .
