Description
The coat of arms of the city of Alma-Ata is a base in the form of a round oriental shield, in the foreground of which is a snow leopard holding a branch with seven apple flowers in its mouth, which personify seven districts of Almaty. The leopard strides forward steadily, its right paw is raised up for the next step forward, but the head of the leopard is turned back, which indicates continuity in the development of the city from ancient eras to modern times. In the background there is a snowy peak of the majestic Alatau Mountains, in the fertile area of which the city of Almaty is located. The background of the entire coat of arms is blue - the color of the flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The circle is framed by decorative linear ribbons and uyk sockets for shanyrak elements. On a gold background in red on the ring depicts the Kazakh national ornament, which is interlaced with fonts in the word "Almaty". The coat of arms of the city includes the following colors: gold, red, blue, white, pink and silver.
