Sports career
He began to engage in athletics from the age of 11, playing for the club Al-Ansar ( Arabic. الأنصار , French Club d'Al Ansar ). He represented Algeria at the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London , where he won his first gold medal in the 800m race, ahead of the champion of the previous Paralympics - Moroccan Abdellilah Mama, who came only third and set a Paralympic running record with a result of 1 minute 53.01 seconds.
