History
The settlement, from which the city later grew, was founded at the end of the 18th century by don Pedro Veroes.
Geographical position
Biruaca is located in the northeastern part of the state, south of the Apure River, about 3 kilometers southwest of San Fernando de Apure , the state’s administrative center. The absolute height is 41 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the population of the city in 2013 was 63,743 people [2] .
Transport
National highways No. 2 and No. 19 pass through the city.
