Biography
She was born on March 8, 1925 in the village of Tazakend, Ganja district of the Azerbaijan SSR (now Shamkir district).
Since 1942 - the link of the vineyard farm named after Azizbekov of the Shamkhor region, since 1966 - the worker of the state farm consumer society of the Shamkhor region. In 1948, it received a grape crop of 179 centners per hectare on an area of 3.5 hectares.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 5, 1949 , for receiving high grape yields in 1948, Mammadova Umay Alekper kyzy was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal “ Hammer and Sickle ”.
Since 2002 - Presidential pensioner.
