Biography

She graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow . She made her debut with poems in 1903. She collaborated with children's magazines Przyjaciel Dzieci, from 1909-1910 with Płomyczek and Płomyk . She was one of the leaders of the youthful scout movement . In 1917 she founded the magazine " Płomyczek ". In 1927-1939 she worked as an editor of the youth magazines Płomyczek , Słonko and Poranek. In 1922-1925 she was an employee of the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Education. During the German occupation during the Second World War, took part in underground literary and public life.

Her works “Once upon a time there was a king”, “Balbina and the rook: Toy in drawings” (1965), and “Grandfather Roch” were published in Russian. (Polish folk children's songs in the retelling of Boris Zakhoder. Detgiz, 1958).

Among the translations are the works of S. Topelius .

She was buried in the Powzki Cemetery in Warsaw.
