Bahar Toksoy ( Turkish Bahar Toksoy ; born February 6, 1988 , Izmir ) is a Turkish volleyball player who is the central blocker of Istanbul's Fenerbahçe and the Turkish national team .

Career

Bahar Toksoy began her career as a professional volleyball player at the Yesilyurt club, for which she played for two seasons, between 2004 and 2006.

In 2006, Bahar Toksoy moved to Vakyfbank , with whom she won the Challenge Cup in the 2007/08 season. She made her debut in the Turkish national team in 2008, and a year later she won in her composition a silver medal at the Mediterranean Games in Italian Pescara. In 2010, Toxa and the team won the Euroleague bronze medal.

In 2011, as part of Vakyfbank, Toxoy won the 2010/11 Champions League, while at the same time she won bronze medals at the European Championship 2011 and World Grand Prix 2012 , as well as silver at the XVII Mediterranean Games in Turkish Mersin. In the 2012/13 season, Toxa with Vakyfbank won the Turkish Cup, won the Champions League and the Turkish Championship for the second time, also being recognized as the best blocking Turkish championship. The following season, Vakyfbank won the Turkish Super Cup , Club World Cup [1] , Cup and Turkish Championship. In the 2014/15 season, Toxa with the team again became the owner of the Turkish Super Cup.

In 2015, Bahar Toksoy moved to Italy , signing a contract with the Scandicci club from Series A1. In mid-2016, the volleyball player returned to Turkey , this time becoming the player of Ejacibashi . After a break in her career due to pregnancy and childbirth, in January 2017, Toxoy signed a contract with Fenerbahçe [2] to play in the final stage of the Turkish Championship 2016/17, which culminated in the victory of Fenerbahçe. At the 2017 European Championships, Toxoy helped the national team win the bronze championship.

Personal life

September 20, 2013 Bahar Toxoy married the Italian coach Giovanni Guidetti [3] . On September 30, 2016, their eldest daughter Alison was born.
