General Information
The first number of seeding in a single tournament was his last year's winner Samantha Stosur (No. 21 in the world at that time). The Australian tennis player was able to confirm her favorite status and defended her last year's title. In the final, she beat the fifth seeded Zarina Diyas . For Stosur, winning the tournament turned out to be the third in his career. In addition to the last two draws, she won the tournament in 2009.
In the doubles tournament, the main prize was won by the duet of Syuko Aoyama and Renat Vorachov , who did not initially have his own seeding number. In the finals, they also beat the unseen Lara Arruabarren and Tatiana Maria . Last year's champions Kristina Mladenovich and Flavia Pennetta did not defend their title.
