The highest conifer ( lat. Ephedra altissima ) is a coniferous plant distributed in the western part of the Sahara ( Morocco , Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Chad, Mauritania ) and the Canary Islands . Also grown as a decorative [1] [2] [3] .
