Reconstruction

From 2012 to 2015, the Portuguese construction company modernized the airport, the main purpose of which was to increase the runway to accommodate medium-sized aircraft. The reconstruction cost was $ 18 million , which was invested by a South African company that built a five-star hotel for ecotourists on the island [2] .
