  • 1947 - began to print.
  • 1952 - graduated from Kazan University ,
  • 1955 - graduated from graduate school.
  • 1956-1960 - worked at the Institute of World Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR ,
  • 1957 - a book about Musa Jalil (1/3: “Musa Jalil: A Critical and Biographical Essay.” M., 1957)
  • 1959 - became a member of the Writers' Union .
  • 1960 - in Kazan, in the Tatar language, Bikmukhametov’s book “Fading Flowers of Poetry” was published.
  • 1960-1961 - deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine "Friendship of Peoples."
  • 1961 - in Ufa, in the Bashkir language, Bikmukhametov’s book On Songs That Overcome the Enemy was published.
  • Since 1962 he worked at Moscow State University : teacher, then - head of the sector at the Department of the History of Literature.
  • 1962 - a book about Musa Jalil (2/3: “Musa Jalil: (Essay on creativity).” M., 1962)
  • 1964 - poetry by Musa Jalil in the translation of Robert Gatovich.

  • 1989 - Robert Gatovich was awarded the honorary title of Honored Scientist of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
  • 1994 - compiled the curriculum of the course "History of Literature of the Peoples of the Russian Federation of the XX Century", which was published in the form of a book.

Robert Gatovich is the author of about 200 scientific and literary critical works. His scientific works are devoted to the mutual influence of national literatures of the peoples of Russia, the theory of literature, and the methodology of literary criticism.

He was a member of the section "Culture of Peoples in the Regions of Russia" of the interagency council for regional science and technology policy and interaction with higher education, established by the RAS and the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Technical Policy of the Russian Federation.

The result of many years of research by a scientist is the monograph “Interaction Orbits”. It is based on a doctoral dissertation, dedicated to the artistic (rather than geopolitical and ideological) unity of the literatures of the peoples of the USSR. The researcher drew parallels with various literary communities that developed in the twentieth century, with the art systems of other eras, including very distant ones; first applied a wide scale of culture to modern or recent literary material.

Robert Gatovich Bikmukhametov - author of monographs on the life and work of M. Jalil, Galimjan G. Ibragimov, G. Tukai; a number of articles on the work of K.A. Akhmedyanova, M. Gafuri, M. Karim, S. Kudash, N. Najmi and others.
His works are translated into English, German, Polish.
