Urkash ( Orkash , Kaz. Orқash ) is a salt lake in the Kamystinsky district of the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan . It is located about 20 km east of the village of Urkash [1] .

According to the data for 1960, the surface area of the lake was 19 km², the longest was 6 km, the greatest width was 4 km, the coastline was 18 km [2] . According to 1998, the lake has a surface area of 16.34 km², a length of 5.9 km, a width of 3.8 km, a coastline of 18.7 km. The lake is located at an altitude of 202 m above sea level [1] . The salty river Sarybalkash flows into the lake.
Since the 19th century, salt has been mined [1] .
