Geography

The village is located on the banks of the river Ilevna , 11 km south of the settlement center of the village of Kovarditsy and 9 km south-west of Murom .

History

The village was first mentioned in the salary books of the Ryazan diocese of 1676 as part of the Stryginsky parish , it contained 5 peasant households [2] .

In the late XIX - early XX century, the village was part of the Karacharovsky volost of the Murom district , since 1926 - within the Murom volost . In 1859 [3] there were 18 courtyards in the village, in 1905 [4] - 27 courtyards, in 1926 [5] - 47 courtyards.

Since 1929, the village has been the center of the Cheremisinsky Village Council of the Murom District , since 1940 - as part of the Podbolot Village Council , since 2005 - as part of the Kovarditsky rural settlement .
