Mark Valerianovich Tyapkin (born December 25, 1927, Moscow ) [1] is an engineer, developer [2] doctor of technical sciences , graduate of MEI . State Prize Laureate . Awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor [1] .

Biography
Born December 25, 1927 [1] . His parents originally lived in the Kursk and Oryol regions, but received education in Moscow . My father worked in the field of economics, and my mother worked as a translator and librarian at the Chamber of Commerce . She knew German , French and English . She was educated at the Institute of Noble Maidens . Mark and his mother lived in a house near the Kursk railway station . [3]
When Mark was 14 years old, war broke out . Mother went to work in a military hospital. Father went to the front and never returned. [3]
In 1944 he graduated from Moscow secondary school. [1] No. 330 [3]
After graduation, he entered the Moscow Power Engineering College [1] . At the same time, he started working as a courier and received a work card , according to which people were given minimum food [3] .
In 1945 he began to study at the preparatory courses of the Moscow Energy Institute . In 1946 he entered the first course of MEI. Among his teachers was S. A. Lebedev . Pre-diploma practice was held at the Institute of Fine Mechanics and Computing [1], along with Vsevolod Sergeevich Burtsev , Andrei Andreyevich Sokolov , Valery Laut . The theme of his thesis was the development and prototyping of one of the BESM devices [3] .
In 1952 he graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute with a degree in Automatic and Measuring Installations. [1] [4]
After graduation, began working in ITMiWT. In 1956, Mark Tyapkin was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor as a participant in the creation of the BESM AS USSR computer. In 1969, Mark Tyapkin won the State Prize as a participant in the development of the BESM-6 computer [1] [5] , in which Mark Tyapkin developed an arithmetic unit and a magnetic tape drive [1] .
The first independent work was the development of a magnetic drum for BESM [3] .
In 1982, Mark Tyapkin was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for his participation in the development of the Elbrus-1 MVK [1] .
Mark Tyapkin became a doctor of technical sciences in 1987, did not defend his thesis - he was awarded a scientific degree for the totality of developments [1] [6] , as he participated in the creation of most electronic computers , which the first ITM & T department of them worked on. S. A. Lebedev. In 1989 he was awarded the prize. S. A. Lebedev, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR . In 1991, he received an award from the Council of Ministers of the USSR for participating in the development of the Elbrus-1KB [1] .
