Large dragonflies (the length of the preserved part of one wing is about 3 cm). Many wing cells have a deltoid shape. The pterostigmus is long, extends to 12 wing cells. Vein CuA long, reaching posterior margin of wing at pterostigma level. The species Paracoryphagrion deltoides was first described in 2018 by a group of Chinese paleoentomologists ( Daran Zheng et al.), Together with colleagues from France ( André Nel ; Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle , Paris ) and Great Britain ( Edmund A. Jarzembowski ; The Natural History Museum , London ) based on materials from Burmese amber (age about 100 million years; Southeast Asia , Myanmar , Hukawng Valley, Kachin Province). The new species and genus were isolated into a separate monotypic family Paracoryphagrionidae in the clade Pseudostigmatoidea (previously, as part of Coenagrionoidea from the suborder, the winged dragonflies , Zygoptera ). The Pseudostigmatoidea superfamily also includes the Coryphagrionidae family with one monotypic genus and the species Coryphagrion grandis Morton, 1924 from the coastal sparse tropical forests of Kenya and Tanzania, and the Pseudostigmatidae family (or the subfamily Pseudostigmatinae in the largest family of rye us al al al rep Co ))))) range up to 190 cm [1] [2] .
The species Paracoryphagrion deltoides was named for its similarity with the genus Coryphagrion and many deltoid wing cells [1] .
