Biography
Alexey Perebeev was born in Alma-Ata, in a musical family. His mother, Kovalevskaya Larisa Anatolyevna (b. 1964), a music teacher and accompanist, worked for many years at the im. Tchaikovsky. Father - Perebeev Evgeny Anatolyevich (b. 1963), organist and pianist, emigrated to the United States in 2000, where he founded his own school and the author’s methodology of teaching the piano and organ [1] .
Alex was a painful child, attended school irregularly, being at home schooling. Thanks to this, Alexey read a lot and in early childhood became interested in painting and modeling. In 1999, he still graduated from secondary school No. 39 of the city of Almaty.
In 1999, Perebeev entered the Academy. Zhurgenova on the course "textile artist", a year later transferred to the course "easel painting". A year later, he entered into a confrontation with the leadership of the academy and was expelled with the wording “for losing contact with the academy”.
In 2003, already working as a designer and doing custom-made paintings, he entered KazGASA (Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering) for the course “Advertising Design” and a year later, on his own, quit his studies.
In 2007-2009 he worked in the cinema, as the set designer of Kazakhstan paintings “ ” by Zhantemir Baimukhamedov, “Lost Paradise”, “Wolfhound”.
Creativity
Alexei began to write very early - from the age of five. And early works (written from 5 to 10 years old) were exhibited in the Tengri-Umai Gallery in 1993 [2] .
Alexei painted the first deep, conscious picture and one of his most outstanding works at the age of 16, inspired by Dürer ’s self-portrait . The face in the picture resembles the face of Jesus Christ, as canonically portrayed in art. The picture is full of religious experience, although Alex during this period was not a religious person.
A great influence on the work of Perebeev had Bakst , Matisse , Schiele , Bidstrup , Bosch , Goya , Brass , whom he considers his teachers. Of the living, Khvan Vadim Valentinovich is a Kazakh artist, teacher of Alexei.
In 2009, Alexey Perebeev, with the support of the ART & SHOK Theater, participated in the project “Naked Art”, for which he specially wrote 15 paintings - under the general title “Attitude”. [3]
The first shows cause both a wave of criticism, for excessive frankness and shocking, and a positive assessment of the public.
Alexei deliberately does not cooperate with any creative associations and unions, categorically rejects any cataloging and segmentation of painting.
Interesting Facts
The painting Dürer was donated by Alexei to his father and is in the United States, collectors have repeatedly offered to buy it, but Evgeny Perebeev refused.
Alexey Perebeev refused to emigrate to the United States with his whole family (Alexey’s sister left there after his father, and then, in 2014, his mother), declaring Kazakhstan his only homeland.
Alexey's uncle, Igor Perebeev, was a drummer in the Triumvirate band [ significance of fact? ] , and now the drummer with Nastya Poleva and several other Russian rock bands.
