Biography
Born May 27, 1937 in Beryozovka, Slavgorod district. In 1957 he entered the library faculty of the Minsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.M. Gorky , which he graduated in 1962. The administration, seeing the ability of a graduate, left him and he remained at the same faculty, but as a teacher, he soon became the dean of this faculty until 1975. In 1975 he was hired by the Belarusian State University of Culture and still works there.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to the history, theory and methodology of bibilography, as well as to profile training for librarians and bibliographers and the information culture of the individual. The author of over 200 scientific papers.
- He was a pioneer in the study of the history of the Belarusian bibliography.

- 1992-1994 - Organizer and president of the Belarusian Library Association.
