Artwork
Prokhorov is one of the best portrayers of children. Each time he interpreted the world of childhood in different ways: the wary thoughtfulness of “Girls with a Doll” ( 1929 ) is conveyed by the combination of bright red spots of a ribbon in braids with muffled brown tones of clothing. But the successful combination of white-red and green-blue colors convincingly shows the cheerfulness of "Pioneer, illuminated by the sun" ( 1928 ). The painting "Near the Sea" is filled with the poetry of a happy childhood. Close, however, to the artist is a quick sketch image, the main task of which is to display the individual characteristics of nature, her mood and condition at the time of the creation of the picture.
