Edward Georg Krubasik ( German: Edward-Georg Krubasik ; born 19 January 1944 in Vienna ) is a German physicist and manager.

Biography
Krubasik studied physics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (experimental work on a heavy- ion accelerator ); Since 1968, he worked at the Institute of Theoretical Nuclear Physics at the University of Karlsruhe , where in 1971 he received his doctoral thesis on the topic: the definition of π-amplitudes in the Coulomb interference region at high energies. From 1971 he worked at SLAC . He graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration (MBA) from Insead in Fontainebleau. From 1973 to 1996, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey in Düsseldorf, New York and Munich. He was a partner and director of global innovation and technology management consulting, as well as leading electronics, telecommunications and aviation in Europe. From 1997 to 2006, he was a member of the executive board of Siemens AG, responsible for industry / automation / control, transportation and corporate technology.
Among other things, it takes place in the supervisory board of Dresdner Bank (1998–2009), Vallourec (Paris, since 2007), KSB AG (Frankenthal), Honsel AG (2008/09), Stinnes AG (Essen) and AsahiTec and 2008 until 2014 at the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank.
Since 2000, Krubasik is an honorary professor at the Technical University of Munich. He is chairman of the cultural committee of the German economy, was on the Sustainable Development Board (2006–2010), was a member of the Economic Council of the CDU (and chairman of its board on growth and innovation) and was ambassador for the New Social Market Economy Initiative. From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the BDI Presidium. He was President of the Central Association for the Electrical and Electronic Industry eVV (ZVEI) and President of Orgalime, the European Federation of Metal and Electric Industry Associations in Brussels. From April 2014 to April 2016, he was President of the German Physical Society, in which he is Vice President.
