Biography
A native of , Manchester , Ted began his career at the local Pendlebury Club [1] .
In September 1905 he moved to Manchester United , signing an amateur contract with the club. In January 1906 he signed a professional contract. United made their debut on March 25, 1908, taking the left-back position in the game against Liverpool. The match ended in the defeat of Manchester United with a score of 7: 4 [2] . It was Dalton's only official game with United. [3] In August 1908, he returned to Pendlebury, performing at the . A year later, when Pendlebury got out of the league, Dalton moved to the St. Helens Recreation Club [4] .
