Born in the village of Desna, Molokovsky District, Tver Region.
He graduated from the Leningrad Air Force Engineering Academy (1945). Worked there: laboratory engineer of the department of radar, teacher, deputy. Head, in 1952-1986 head of the department of theory of radio engineering and antenna-feeder devices, since 1986 professor of the department.
Head of a scientific school in the field of applied electrodynamics.
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1960). Professor (1962).
