Muhibe Darga ( June 13, 1921 , Istanbul - March 6, 2018 , ibid.) Is one of the first female archaeologists in Turkey, a philologist, a hattologist.

Biography
Muhibe Darga was born on June 13, 1921 in Istanbul [2] .
Family
Father was a doctor. The grandfather was Darguhrad Mehmet Emin Bey, the first chamberlain of Sultan Abdulhamid. French governesses were engaged in the education of Dargue.
The family constantly celebrated all city religious holidays, often organized gala evenings. She was besieged by conversations about art and literature, Roman and Greek history. [3]
Training
Studied in Paris and Istanbul. In 1940 she graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Archeology, Faculty of Philology. It was at this department that I met many famous people in the field of archeology. She took part in the excavations of Karatepe , conducted under the direction of Professor Theodor Bosert . She became an assistant professor in 1965, and in 1973 received the title of Doctor of Sciences.
Activities
She taught at various universities Elazig and Mushe in Anatolia. In 1945, she became an assistant at the department at the Istanbul University of Languages and Culture of Asia Minor.
In 1978-1990 led the rescue excavations of the Şemsiyetepe Höyüğü mound near the Karakai dam.
In 1990-2004 led the excavation in Eskisehir.
She participated in many archaeological and philological congresses in Europe.
Muhibe Darga died on March 6, 2018 in Istanbul. [four]
