Valentin Ivanovich Nikitin ( November 1, 1948 - March 28, 2018 [1] ) - Soviet and Russian party and statesman. Member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of I — III convocations (1993-2003).

Biography

Valentin Ivanovich Nikitin was born on November 1, 1948 in the village of Urshak, Chishminsky District, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

In 1967-1969 served in the Navy.

Member of the CPSU since 1972 [2] .

In the years 1973-1980. - Instructor of the organizational department of the district committee of the CPSU.

From 1980 to 1985, he was chairman of the trade union committee of the Ufa Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant, and from 1985 to 1989 he was deputy secretary and secretary of the nodal party committee of the Ufa railway station.

From 1989 to 1991 - the first secretary of the Soviet District Committee of the CPSU of Ufa, from 1991 to 1992 - head of the service sector of the State Property Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan. From 1992 to 1994, he headed the State Inspectorate for the Quality of Services and Domestic Services of the Population of the Republic of Belarus.

In December 1993, he was elected to the State Duma of the first convocation on the federal list of the Communist Party [3] .

In December 1995, he was elected to the State Duma of the second convocation in the Kirov single-mandate constituency No. 004, the Republic of Bashkortostan (nominated by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation) [4]

In December 1999, he was elected to the State Duma of the 3rd convocation according to the federal list from the electoral association of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation [5] .

In the elections to the State Duma of the fourth convocation in December 2003 in the Kirov single-mandate constituency No. 004 (Republic of Bashkortostan) took second place with 12.12% (46932 votes), losing to the representative of United Russia, M. R. Kalmetiev (27.08% , 104815 votes) [6] [7] .

He died on March 28, 2018 [8] .
