George Barbu Stirbei ( rum. George Barbu Știrbei ); April 1, 1828 , Bucharest - August 15, 1925 , Paris ) - Romanian aristocrat, politician , Minister of Foreign Affairs ( July 15, 1866 - February 21, 1867 ). Monarchist, philanthropist, founder of many artistic initiatives.

Biography
Born April 1, 1828 in Bucharest . Came from the Bibescu family. The clan went through a rapid social upsurge after the fall of the installation of fanariots. The son of Prince Dimitrie Barbu Stirbey and brother of the Minister Alexandru B. Stirbey (father of Prime Minister Barbu Stirbey ), was married to the widow of Gustav Fould (better known by the pseudonym Gustav Haller) - Valerie Wilhelmina Josephine Simonin, as a stepfather raised two children in this marriage - Consuelo Fould and George Fould.
He studied in Paris , at the Lyceum of Louis the Great .
He was Minister of Foreign Affairs (July 15, 1866 - February 21, 1867).
He was buried in the Pere Lachaise cemetery with his wife, as well as one of his adoptive daughters.
