Ashok Ferrey ( born Ashok Ferrey ; September 1, 1957 , Colombo ) - a writer, illustrator and designer of Sri Lanka . Born in Sri Lanka, at the age of 8 he moved to Somalia , where his father was sent - an employee of one of the UN organizations. He graduated from the Benedictine School at Worth Abbey in Sussex and Christ College, Oxford University , where he studied mathematics [1] . Subsequently, he worked for 8 years at construction sites in Brixton . At the age of 30 he returned to Sri Lanka and settled in Colombo [2] .

He writes stories and stories in English that differ in an entertaining plot and humor. Books are published mainly in the Indian publishing house Penguin Random House India. He also lectures on the history of Western architecture at the Colombo School of Architecture, and hosts the television program “Art and Architecture with Ashok”. In his free time he works as a personal fitness trainer [3] . Scriptwriter for the short film “Elephant” (2015) [4] .
