Myth & roid

Myth & Roid is a Japanese pop group founded by Tom-H @ ck (guitar, composer, production) with several vocalists [1] . The group debuted in 2015 with the release of their first single “LLL”. The music of the group was presented in various anime series , such as: Overlord , BBK / BRNK , Saga of Tanya the Evil and Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World .

History

According to the group’s official website, its name comes from two words: “myth” (myth), representing the past, and “android” (& roid), representing the future; the group hopes that these two aspects will create a “new world." [2]

The band debuted with Mayu as a vocalist in 2015, releasing their first single, “LLL”; ending for the television anime series “ Lord ”, released in 2015. The single reached its 29th position on Oricon's weekly charts [3] and reached the No. 3 rating in Japanese iTunes download ratings. [2]

Anger / Anger's second single was released on February 24, 2016; the track is used as an ending for the 2016 television anime series - BBK / BRNK. The single reached 82nd line on Oricon weekly charts. [4] Styx Helix’s third single was released on May 25, 2016 [5] , the song is used as the first ending for the 2016 television anime series , Re: Zero - Living from scratch in an alternate world , [6] and the song Straight Bet is used as an ending for episode 7. [7] The fourth single of the band "Paradisus-Paradoxum" was released on August 24, 2016; the song is used as the second opening for Re: Zero - Life from scratch in the alternative world , [6] and the song “The Theater D” is used as the ending for the 14th episode. [8] The fifth single “Jingo Jungle” was released on February 8, 2017; the song is used as opening for the 2017 anime television series Saga of Tanya the Evil [9] . The group also performed theme songs for the two theater films Overlord, released in 2017. [ten]

In 2017, KIHOW joined the group after it was found by Tom-H @ ck. Living in the past, she is able to sing in both English and Japanese. Able to freely change her style of singing, her voice is known as the "rainbow voice." [eleven]

April 24, 2017 released the first album of the group "eYe's". [12]

In November 2017, it was announced that vocalist Mayu was leaving the band to pursue a solo career. [13]

On December 18, 2017, the 6th single 「HYDRA」, [14] was announced and KIHOW's face was shown as part of the album cover. [15]

The group debuted with KIHOW as a vocalist in 2018 with the release of 「HYDRA」; the track is used as an endgame to the 2018 television anime series Overlord II . [sixteen]
