Born 12/19/1943.
He graduated from the Mechmath of Moscow State University (1965) and graduate school of the Mathematical Institute. V.A. Steklova, Academy of Sciences of the USSR , Department of Geometry (1966-1969).
Since 1969 he has been working at the Mathematical Institute. V.A. Steklova, Academy of Sciences of the USSR (RAS), currently - a leading researcher.
Since September 1, 2001, part-time professor at Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, Department of Number Theory.
Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (2000). Specialty of Higher Attestation Commission: 01.01.04 (geometry and topology). Professor.
Research interests: lattices and partitions of space, crystals and quasicrystals, aperiodic partitions, unbendable and bendable polyhedra, Ising model, mathematical education.
