Neta Rivkin ( Hebrew נטע ריבקין , born June 19, 1991 in Petah Tikva [2] [3] ) - Israeli gymnast (rhythmic gymnastics), three times participant in the Olympic Games from Israel; silver medalist of the European Championships 2011 and bronze medalist of the world championships 2011, twice silver medalist of the finals of the Grand Prix of Rhythmic Gymnastics in 2014.

Family
Neta's parents immigrated from Leningrad to Israel in 1991 [3] , and his father is a basketball coach [4] . Neta is fluent in Russian and regularly gives interviews to Russian-language media [5] .
Career start
Ella Samofalov became the coach of Neta [6] . In a 2008 interview, Neta said she had been doing gymnastics since she was six years old and had virtually no time for entertainment [7] .
2008
Neta's debut came at the 2008 Olympics, where she took 14th place in the qualification. At that time, Neta was 17 years old, and she was the youngest athlete in the Israeli Olympic team [8] [9] .
2011
In May 2011, Neta won the first personal award - the silver medal of the European Championship in Minsk in exercises with a hoop [3] [10] [11] . She also won a silver medal in mace exercises, losing to Belarusian gymnast Lyubov Cherkashina [6] [12] . In the same year, 20-year-old Neta won the bronze medal of the Montpellier World Championships in hoop exercises [10] - Israel's first medal at the world championships in rhythmic gymnastics. Above her were Russians Evgenia Kanaeva and Daria Kondakova [10] .
Rivkin, in an interview with the press, said that thanks to this success, her desire to bring more success and fame to Israel in sports only intensified [10] . According to the results of the 2011 World Cup season, Neta took 11th place [13] .
2012
In 2012, Neta won the silver medal of the World Cup in Tashkent in the all-around, and also performed at the London Olympics: she reached the final and took 7th place there [14] . Nope was honored to carry the flag of Israel at the closing ceremony of the Olympics. In the same year, according to the results of the World Cup, she took 5th place [15] . Contrary to expectations, she continued her career after the second Olympics [5] .
2013
In 2013, due to illness, Rivkin withdrew from the Grand Prix stage in Holon, but performed at the stage in Thieu, taking 5th place in the all-around and winning a bronze medal in the final with the ball. At the stage in Pesaro, she took 4th place in the all-around and again won the bronze medal in exercises with the ball, in Sofia together with the Bulgarian Sylvia Miteva won the silver medal in the same exercises with the ball, in Minsk at the World Cup stage she won the bronze medal in exercises with hoop and 7th in the all-around. In Vienna, at the European Championships, she took 6th place in hoop exercises and 7th with the ball, and 5th in the all-around at the summer Universiade in Kazan . Maccabiad champion in Jerusalem all-around. At the final stage of the World Cup in St. Petersburg - 11th in the all-around, at the World Cup - 10th in the all-around. 2014
Neta Rivkin began 2014 with a performance in Moscow at the Grand Prix, taking 8th place in the all-around. Then she won the bronze medal in the all-around at the Grand Prix in Thieu and reached the four finals with individual items, later at the World Cup stage in Debrecen she took 5th place in the all-around, in Stuttgart - 10th place in the all-around and got into several finals (4th place with clubs and ribbon, 8th with a hoop) [17] .
At the Grand Prix in Holon, Neta became 4th in the all-around and reached the four finals: together with Margarita Mamun she won the exercises with a hoop, won silver medals with clubs and a ball, as well as a bronze medal in exercises with a ribbon. The World Cup stage in Pzearo left Rivkin in 10th place in the all-around. From May 22 to 24, Rivkin performed at the World Cup in Tashkent, where she became 4th in the all-around and reached all the finals in separate forms, but won only bronze with a hoop. In Minsk, she took 11th place at the World Cup. From June 10 to 15, she performed at the European Championships and took 4th place with a score of 71.599 points, behind the bronze medalist Anna Rizatdinova by only 0.050 points. The protest of the Israeli delegation on the results was rejected [18] .
In Kazan, at the World Cup stage, she took 7th place in the all-around with a score of 69.350 points and reached the three finals. From September 22 to 28, she performed at the World Championships and took the 4th place with the team ( Victoria Weinberg-Filanovsky and Martina Poplinsky also performed), became 9th in the all-around. From November 1 to 3, she participated in the Grand Prix in Brno and won the silver medal in the all-around, and from November 14 to 16 in the Grand Prix in Innsbruck in the final she won the silver medal in the all-around and in hoop exercises [19] . According to the results of the 2014 season, she became the 10th in the World Cup [20] .
2015
In 2015, Rivkin took 5th place at the Grand Prix in Moscow in the all-around and reached the three finals: in the competitions with a hoop she took a bronze medal (4th place with the ball, 5th place with clubs). From March 13 to 15 during the Barcelona Cup she won bronze in the all-around, at the Grand Prix in Thieu she also won bronze in the all-around, but added to this victory in exercises with a hoop, silver with a ball and bronze with clubs. From March 27 to 29, she participated in the World Cup in Lisbon, becoming the 7th in the all-around and the 8th in the exercises with the ball, but taking the silver medal in the exercises with the ribbon. From April 10 to 12, she participated in the World Cup in Pesaro and took 13th place in the all-around: the result was reduced due to an error in the exercise with the tape. With Victoria Weinberg-Filanovsky, she performed at the European Championships 2015 and took 4th place in the team championship, in the final with clubs, she became 6th, in the final with the ball - 7th.
At the Grand Prix stage in Holon, Rivkin became 4th in the all-around and also won bronze medals in exercises with a hoop and ball. From May 22 to 24 she performed at the World Cup in Tashkent and took 6th place in the all-around, reaching the three finals. At the Grand Prix in Berlin, she became 4th in the all-around with a score of 71.350 points and won the silver medal in the final exercises with the ball. From June 15 to 21 she performed at the first European Games, where she became 10th in the all-around, 5th with the ball, 6th with the ribbon and won the bronze medal in hoop exercises. In August, at the World Cup stage in Budapest, she became the 14th in the all-around and reached the finals only with a hoop, where she became the 7th. At the next stage in Sofia, she became the 10th in the all-around and reached the finals with a hoop and maces, becoming the 8th in each of them.
In Kazan, at the World Cup stage, Neta became the 7th in the all-around and reached the finals with a hoop and maces. From September 9 to 13, she participated in the World Championships in Stuttgart, speaking with Victoria Weinberg-Filanovsky and Lina Ashram in the team championship and becoming the 4th. She took 6th place in the final with the ball and 8th in the final with the hoop, in the final of the all-around she became 7th with a score of 70.974 points [21] . According to the results of the World Cup, it became the 10th [22] .
2016
In 2016, Rivkin began her season with the Grand Prix in Moscow, taking 17th place in the all-around [23] . At the World Cup stage in Espoo, held from February 26 to 28, she took 5th place in the all-around, and also became 5th with a hoop and ribbon, 6th with a ball and 8th with maces [24] . At the World Cup in Lisbon from March 17 to 20, Rivkin first became an all-around medalist, winning a bronze medal. From May 13 to 15 she performed at the World Cup in Tashkent and became the 4th in the all-around, gaining 71.350 points. Because of the ribbon slipping over the carpet, she reached only three finals, where she became the owner of a silver medal with a ball, a bronze medal with a hoop and took 8th place with maces [25] .
At the World Cup stage in Minsk, Rivkin became the 5th in the all-around, but injured her ankle and did not go to the European Championship, giving way to Lina Ashram. From July 22 to 24, she performed at the World Cup in Baku and with a score of 71,200 points, she took 7th place, at the same time winning a bronze medal in the final with the ball and becoming 4th in the ribbon exercises. At the age of 24, Rivkin performed at her third Olympics, becoming the standard-bearer of the Israeli team at the opening ceremony of the Games in Rio de Janeiro [26] . In the all-around, she performed unsuccessfully: after the exercise with the ball, she scored 17.866 points and took 6th place out of 25, but in the next two types of program she dropped the hoop and ribbon [27] , becoming only 13th with a result of 69.223 points and not even hitting the qualification reserve [27]
The final result of the 2016 season was 7th place in the World Cup [28] . After the Olympic Games, Neta officially left rhythmic gymnastics, abandoning plans to participate in further world and European championships [5] . About her training, Neta said that she had to spend 270 hours in training for a 90-second performance, while the average office worker spends 180 hours a month per job [27] .
2017
Neta Rivkin holds regular master classes for young gymnasts. On July 6, 2017, she participated in the Maccabiada fire-lighting ceremony [29] . He is the head of the Athletes Commission at the Israeli Olympic Committee [5] .
