Geography

The village is located 14 km southwest of the center of the village of Kovarditsy and 13 km west of Murom .

History

The village was first mentioned in the scribe books of 1629-30, where Gribkovo was listed as the estate of Maxim Mikhailovich Pleshcheyev , then it contained a court of estate, 4 peasant and 4 bobyl. In the salary books of the Ryazan diocese of 1676, the village was part of the Vasilievsky parish , it contained a courtyard of landowners and 27 peasant households [2] .

In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village was part of the Papulinsky volost of the Melenkovsky district , since 1926 - as part of the Murom district . In 1859 [3] there were 17 yards in the village, in 1905 [4] - 71 yards, in 1926 [5] - 125 yards.

Since 1929, the village was the center of the Gribkovsky village council of the Murom region , since 1940 - as part of the Striginsky village council , since 2005 - as part of the Kovarditsky rural settlement .
