The Alley of Glory is a memorial pedestrian alley in the Kirovsky and Krasnoselsky districts of St. Petersburg . It passes from the Avenue of the People's Militia to the Peterhof highway .

Description
The Glory Alley is part of the Kirovsky Val memorial complex, part of the Leningrad Green Belt of Glory . The alley was created in 1966 by the architect S. G. Maiofis . It consists of 900 birch trees (according to the rounded number of days of the blockade ), forming an avenue, and decorative concrete anti-tank altars along the avenue. The names of the organizations involved in the creation of the alley are given on the nuts. [1] Also near the alley are a number of monuments erected in the 1970s – 1980s. The Kirovsky Val complex is included in the Unified State Register of Cultural Heritage Objects (Historical and Cultural Monuments) of the Peoples of the Russian Federation as a monument to the history of federal significance (normative act: Government Decree No. 527 of July 10, 2001).
Trace
The alley begins in Kirovsky district from the Narodnoy Opolcheniya Avenue in 1946 ( on the map ), then there is an obelisk and a military burial "Ligovo", the square "Front End of Defense" [2] . Then the alley passes over the bridge over the r. Dudergofku . Next are the memorable stela at the forefront of the defense. Then the alley is interrupted by Marshal Zhukov Avenue , followed by the passage to Krasnoselsky District. Next, there are the heads and steles "The Front Edge of Defense", then the alley follows the direction of Veterans Avenue , again crosses over the r. Dudergofku (building registration number 78: 40: 8461A: 0: 19), is interrupted by Veterans Avenue, then follows through Polezhaevsky Park , crosses the Duderhof Canal through a cable-stayed bridge. The end of the Walk of Fame is located at Peterhof Highway, where there is a platform with a monument - a stele and an anchor.
Obelisk and Ligovo military burial

The memorial was formed in 1977 and 1985. Architects: V. M. Ivanov, K. L. Johansen, V. A. Petrov. The first concrete obelisk was installed in 1944 (architect KL Iogansen and V. A. Petrov).
Balusters fence made in the form of shells. The obelisk is granite.
The Ligovo memorial includes a mass grave for the defenders of Leningrad. Memorial nameplates are missing. According to various sources, 792 people were buried in the mass grave (OBD Memorial) or 996 people (Military Commissariat for the Admiralty and Kirovsky Districts) [3]
