Final
The final in the men's 4x400 relay relay took place on March 4, 2018 [2] . The main favorite of the finals, the US team, from the first stage seized confident leadership. Fred Curley to the finish of his segment brought a comfortable advantage that his teammates held until the last transfer of the stick. Vernon Norwood had a significant advantage (about four meters) over Yakub Kshevina , but the advantage of the Pole in the final 100 meters of the distance was overwhelming and sufficient to win. The national team of Poland set a new world record (3.01.77), improving the previous achievement by 0.36 seconds. The Americans did not win gold in the men's relay at the Indoor World Championships for the first time since 2004, and only for the fifth time (out of 13) in history. The Belgian team with three Borle brothers in the composition ahead of Trinidad and Tobago in the fight for third place by only 0.01 seconds, setting a national record 3.02.51 [3] .
