Kori Udovicki (born December 4, 1961 , La Paz , Bolivia ) is a Serbian statesman, Governor of the Central Bank of Serbia from 2003 to 2004 .

Biography

Born in Bolivia on December 4, 1961 in the family of a Yugoslav diplomat Lazar Udovichki . Maternal uncle is former Bolivian President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada . In 1984, Cory graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Belgrade University, in 1988 received a master's degree from Yale University, and in 1999 she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the same educational institution.

From 1993 to 2001 she worked at the International Monetary Fund in the USA, was an economic adviser [1] . From 2002 to 2003 she was the Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia. July 22, 2003 was appointed to the post of Governor of the Central Bank of Serbia [2] . She held the post until March 1, 2004, when she was removed from office due to the fact that deputies of the Democratic Party rigged the vote [3] . From 2007 to 2012 she was an assistant to the UN Secretary General , an assistant to the head of the UN Development Program and the head of the regional bureau for the development of cooperation between Europe and the CIS [4] . From 2014 to 2016, she served as Minister of State and Local Government of Serbia [5] .
