Biography
Born on January 1, 1937 in the town of Safaraliev of the Khanlar region of the Azerbaijan SSR (now the city of Samukh, Samukh region).
Since 1963 - the foreman of the Komsomol viticulture brigade of the collective farm named after Safaraliev of the Khanlar district of the Azerbaijan SSR.
Alarov, proving himself to be a skilled leader, was the first in the region to use four-story trellises in his household, used new agricultural methods, extensive experience and best practices in growing grapes. The brigade team regularly received high grape harvests - in 1975 the team received 155.8 centners of grapes per hectare on an area of 60 hectares, in 1976 - 199.4 centners per hectare, in 1977 - 121.6 centners per hectare on an area of 79 hectares , in 1978 - 141.4 centners per hectare. In 1979, the team set a record for grape yield in the area - from each hectare on a field of 111 hectares each received 191.3 centners of grapes, and in 1980 the team broke its own record by receiving 208.2 centners of grapes per hectare on an area of 102 hectares instead of the planned 1272 tons of grapes, 2120 tons of berries were obtained, the prime cost fell 1.5 times. In the XI five-year period, Alarov continued his hard work, receiving a yield of up to 250 centners per hectare. Umud Alyarov shared with his colleague his experience in growing high grape harvests, in his team he trained 120 young workers and 2 future foremen.
By a resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR of November 7, 1980 , for the development and implementation of advanced technology, complex mechanization in the cultivation of industrial, vegetable, fruit crops, potatoes, flax, cotton, tea and the production of high yields of these crops, Alarov Umud Mammadtagli oglu was awarded USSR State Prize.
He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU. The delegate of the XXX Congress of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan.
