"The Deep Blue Sea" ( English The Deep Blue Sea ) - the British play of Terence Rettigen , written and published in 1952 [1] [2] . The play was first performed in London on March 6, 1952 under the direction of Frith Banbury and received praise for actress Peggy Ashcroft , who played in the play with Kenneth More [3] . In the USA, the Plymouth Theater staged a play in October 1952 from Margaret Sullavan [4] . Subsequently, the play from Sallavan was transferred to the Broadway Theater , the premiere took place on November 5, 1953.
