Biography
Elias Herrero Entralgo was born on May 8, 1943 [1] in the Republic of Cuba [2] .
He came to receive higher education in the USSR [2] .
He became a graduate of the University of Friendship of Peoples. P. Lumumba [1] , studied at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, specialty "Physics" [2] . In 1974 he began postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov [2] . He defended his doctoral dissertation at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov [1] .
In the period from 1966 to 1982 he was engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at the University of Havana [1] .
He served as head of the department of theoretical physics, was the vice-director of the school of physics. He worked as the head of the group of theoretical physics and the head of educational and methodological affairs. From 1977 to 1982 he was vice director of the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Cuban Academy of Sciences [1] . In 1979 he became head of the Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Havana. He carried out work in the field of atomic physics [2] .
In the period from 1983 to 1989 - Vice-Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research [1] in Dubna [2] . Together with the associate professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Department of National Sciences, V. V. Kuryshkin, a theory of a structure-point object was created [2] .
From 1989 to 1991 he was executive secretary and adviser on nuclear issues. From 1991 to 1995 - professor at the Higher Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology of Cuba. He was a member of the Cuban Society of Physicists [1] . Member of the Higher Certification Commission for Physical Sciences [2] .
Elias Herrero Entralgo died on April 5, 2003. [1]
